How about a wood fire baked pizza??!!

Pizza outlets are may be the most popular chains in the fast food jungle. Generally these outlets use electrical ovens for baking but the authentic way is baking inside the wood fire clay oven. Recently, a trend can be noticed in opening stand-alone wood fire pizza outlets and Who Said Pizza is the newest kid in the block.

The pizza outlet recently opened on the food hub of the Ruby connector invited the team of PanchPhoron on their opening. We were served with pizza variants like Chicken Mutton Pizza, Chicken PizzaMixed Veg Pizza and Ham Pizza.

Apart from wood fire pizza the another specialty of the outlet that there is no pre-defined menu. One can customize toppings in what ever way or combination. One such example was All Toppings Pizza which was topped with chicken, ham, shrimp, paneer and mushroom with dosage of extra cheese. Was a complete oozing goodness.

Aside, they have other options like Veg Steak Burger and Chicken Steak Hotdog. Both burger patty and hotdog steak were bone dry. These were their weakest links.

On can try Garlic Bread sandwich with stuffing of chicken, cheese, onion and tomato. The taste of the sandwich is one the sweeter side and garlic taste was missing.

After such pizza explosion the ending sweet note is must and what can be better than Chocolate Mousse, Brownie and Rum Ball. The Rum Ball needs a special mention due to presence of actual rum to enhance the flavor.

Now coming to the technical part, in case of electrical oven the moisture can be controlled to retain the juiciness but in case of wood fire pizza temperature will be very high and makes the pizza base very dry. Hence, for the wood fire pizza how to prepare dough is the trick. Price is reasonable, ingredients were fresh but pizza dough is where they needs to improve on. On the whole the base of the pizza can be evenly cooked with golden brown crispiness at the edges. No such ambiance as this a take-away joint majorly but at upstairs there is low ceiling crampy sitting area if one prefers.
