Westin the newest 5 star property in the city brings for the foodies their signature restaurant chain Seasonal Tastes. The restaurant presents cuisines from every corner of the world apart for Indian platter in their grandeur buffet spread. The dessert section has the largest array for delicacies. The unobstructed views of the cityscape from 10th floor is a bonus for the connoisseurs.
Was there to experience their Sunday buffet filled with selective dishes from around the world. Also had live counters include chaat and phuchka in their Indian street food section while the international counters lined up with Lebanese and Mexican cuisine.
So many varieties of freshly baked breads and colorful nachos increased the appetite and excitement further.
So much options in meat sections, cold cuts, hummus and cheese will keep one wondering from where to start.
Special mention for the sea food section which was innovative illumination to give that fresh catch feeling. It has salmon, lobsters, squid, prawns, clam, oyster, crab……phew! as much as I can remember.
The out-and-out highlight of the spread was its dessert section. My guess work says around 20 options were there to choose from Bengali sweets, French Pastries, Belgian Chocolates, etc.
Aside theses, live counters were struggling to cope up with demand and food served on the table wither not properly cooked or lacked taste. Typically in buffet, I have witnessed lesser attention been given towards taste compared to à la carte due to its large scale production and demand. Here is also no exception. Desserts will leave a huge smile on your face though price will create a deep hole in your wallet. Keep the visit here for those special days.
