Originated from Arabian shores, landed at the banks of Ganges

On the era when flavored ice creams are available over the counters of hyper market, its time to go back to our roots on how frozen desserts were innovated. Those were the days when 100% natural and pure rich milk were used to create kulfis. Bombay Kulfi took an oath to reincarnate the bygone years’ delicacy.

Kolkata got its first store of Bombay Kulfi, which is also the only known specialized store selling kulfis along with naturals ice cream. Thirty plus flavors and still counting. Few recommendations to try from stick kulfi ranges are Strawberry Lychee, Sitafal, Chocolate Orange, Rangeela 4 in 1, Salted Caramel, Gulab Badam and Malai.

Coming to kulfi slices one shall try Badam Pista and Raspberry Chocolate. And yes you shall never miss Guava Peru. Guava Peru can be relished to its potential by sprinkling red chili powder and rock salt on top of it. If there is one flavor you want to try then it has to be it.

Lastly, in natural ice cream high recommendation towards Tender Coconut, Calcutta Paan and seasonal flavor Thandai only for holi.

Coming to their ambiance has a feel of a street side kulfi stall to keep its originality along with quirky movie dialogues painted on the walls. They needs to improve on their packaging for home delivery. During such humid climate they shall introduce thermocol boxes with dry ice. Also in store service guys needs a hell lot more than just mere training. However, Kolkata has embraced creamy, smooth and simply irresistible kulfis originated straight from Mumbai and has a long way to go with more franchisees around.
