We, like minded foodies are always in hunt for the hidden gems at every corner of the city and recently we found out Dragon Shack. Few bloggers from PanchPhoron we invited to sample few delicacies from their new launches.
We started digging from starters where we were served with Crispy Fish, Konjee Chicken and Crispy Chilli Babycorn. Konjee Chicken was so crispy that the crunchy sound in your mouth followed by succulent chicken earns a brownie point. However neither the Crispy Fish nor Crispy Chilli Babycorn had any sort of crispness but taking that out still a wonderful dish to try. The perfect balance of spice and sauce makes it taste great.
In the final lap of the main course we came across Chicken Burnt Garlic Rice, Chicken Chilli Garlic Noodle, Chilli Chicken and Chilli Oyster Chicken. Chicken Burnt Garlic Rice was a perfectly balanced rice preparation with hint of garlic. It was so tasty we gobbled the bowl without any side dish. This made a perfect combination with the classic and famous Chilli Chicken. The sauce was immaculate with right blend of spice with chunky boneless chicken pieces had no scope of improvement.
Not a great fan of noodles but was carry a taste for quality cuisine. Coming to Chicken Chilli Garlic Noodle was a disaster due to overdone of chilli. As a side effect this numbed our taste buds. But the final nail in the coffin was the Chilli Oyster Chicken. This was the best dish of the day and was the clear winner with its distinct yet delicate taste of oyster sauce compliments the meaty chicken cubes.
Tucked at the quaint corner of Jessore Road this outlet produces Tangra-style Chinese dishes at par with Chinatown. A small sitting capacity majorly a delivery outlet but have variance in their menus. With the price tag in menu found this a great value for money.
