363° buffet spread

363, no its not a numerology puzzle but this what is called one of the newest multi-cuisine restaurants in town under the ceiling of The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata. The moment you enter will be awestruck with grandeur. Though its heritage and dated but a class apart. We were directed towards their flagship restaurant ThreeSixtyThree which is located their center swimming pool.

As the tables were reserved we are directed towards a cozy corner to setup our pit stop for lunch. The array of food is from Sushi to Sandesh, or Tenderloin to Tiramisu or Malai Kofta to Mousse.

In cold platters one must not miss Nigiri and Sushi personally handcrafted by Chef Rahul. to continue further there are range of veg and non-veg salads. Non-veg salads covers chicken, pork, sea-food and tenderloin. They kept freshly squeezed juices on the buffet top.

In main course there will 3 varieties of rice, daal, 3-4 varieties of veg dishes and also in the non-veg section one will find Bong’s all time favorite Dum Biriyani and Topse Fry. In live counter they have Margarita Pizza but that was very bland. However before moving further the taste of Sushi and Dum Biriyani still lingers in my mind.

The final chapter of the journey was the dessert counter for which I kept a lot of space. I can’t believe the vastness of their dessert spread. If you want to visit ThreeSixtyThree then the only reason shall be for its dessert spread.

The final gesture from the restaurant was the special four flavors of their home made icecream they served specially for us. Black Forest, Salted Caramel, Ripple Rhubarb and Kerala Vanilla Bean are some unique flavors and not available in markets.

The restaurant is always full and busy even of weekdays. Table reservation is recommended. Coming to service I found it sloppy and lagging. We need to keep on chasing servers even to refill our tumbler or to clean table. Looks to me the restaurant is under staffed.

All said and done, the restaurant is now the reigning outlet as one of most popular in city to serve buffet. Recommend to keep this for those special days. Wallet will surely be lighter and your tummy will make you feel heavier.
